Advance to Marlborough Street
Article Abstract:
The board game Monopoly, which was adapted in the 1930s from a game originally invented in 1903, remains the best-selling board game, despite its age. Many people enjoy playing it, but most of them fail to realise that it can involve a great deal of strategy. It is worth trying to buy as many houses as possible, for example, as this deprives other players of the opportunity to buy houses. It is also worth considering the maximum possible return on investment, possibly avoiding the Mayfair and Park Lane set.

The challenge of participation means children take risks and work hard with no guaranteed reward. This is good training for life.
