She moved, she shook
Article Abstract:
The recently published autobiography of Katharine Graham, former owner and publisher of the Washington Post newspaper, shows that her life has involved meetings with many important people and many significant events. However, she also comes across as modest and self-doubting. The autobiography is both very frank and extremely discreet, and gives an insight into her struggles to overcome anxiety, insecurity and poor self-esteem. This is a surprising view of a woman who has been called the most powerful woman in the US.

Just another day of sex and drugs at the Foreign Office
Article Abstract:
The UK government is determined to rid the Foreign Office of its old-fashioned, isolated image. This has included holding an Open Day for 1,000 invited guests from around the UK. Efforts are being made to attract more women and people from ethnic groups into the Foreign Office, with emphasis being placed on the fact that working there can be very interesting. Moves to give the Foreign Office a more positive image have even gone as far as Foreign Secretary Robin Cook inviting some people to visit his office.
