Many people are suspicious about alternative medicine, preferring to place their trust in orthodox western medicine, which benefits from the latest medical research. However, they fail to realise that orthodox drugs can sometimes have serious side-effects. Steroids, for example, can induce frenetic and uncontrollable activity, while other drugs can result in dramatic allergic reactions. It is important to approach all drugs with scepticism.

Dealing with personal grief can be very difficult in the context of a major disaster which has hit a whole nation, such as the terrorist attacks in the US. Bereaved people need time to be quiet, alone or with close friends and family, but this is hard when so many people feel that they share the grief.
