Anne Frank: after the diary stopped
Article Abstract:
Anne Frank's diary has made the story of her time in hiding from the Nazis very widely known, but until recent very few details of what happened to her after her capture by the Nazis have been made known. This time is now covered in a BBC2 film about her life to be broadcast soon. She and her family were held for a month at Westerbork, the holding camp for Dutch Jews, and then left on the very last transport to the Auschwitz concentration camp. She died in Bergen-Belsen only a few weeks before the camp was liberated.
