Being your own Master
Article Abstract:
A Masters in Business Administration (MBA) qualification can be very useful for those wishing to start up their own business. Studying for an MBA can assist in structuring the way entrepreneurs think, allow them to develop a holistic view of setting up a business and give them a wide range of contacts. Some institutions offering MBA courses now have special elective units on entrepreneurship. This is the case at Stirling University, Scotland, where the unit on entrepreneurship offers options in starting your own business and in corporate entrepreneurship.

Middle England harnesses postgrad power
Article Abstract:
A number of universities in the Midlands region of the UK are seeking to attract more postgraduates, both into research and into taught courses. They recognize that postgraduates can play a valuable role in taking on some of the workload of academic staff, especially in the light of the dramatic rise in undergraduate numbers. Postgraduates can also allow universities to boost their research reputation. Wolverhampton University, for example, is seeking to encourage local people to undertake research degrees on a part-time basis.
