Bill's a hard act to follow, Tony
Article Abstract:
UK Labour party leader Tony Blair was recently compared closely with Bill Clinton on '60 Minutes,' an influential US television programme. However, there are areas in which Blair may not wish to be regarded as similar to Clinton. Some Americans feel that Clinton was too willing to sacrifice principles in order to secure re-election. They believe that politicians place too much emphasis on style at the expense of substance. There may actually be many voters in the UK who are simply desperate for a change of government, and do not care if they have no concept of the 'real' Tony Blair.
