Bobby Willis

Songwriter and manager Bobby Willis cared for his family from an early age following his mother's death. He began his working life in a bakery, but wanted to become a singer. He met Cilla Black, his future wife, in 1961. When she began recording for NEMS Enterprises, all her singles had a Bobby Willis song on the B-side. He began working as her road manager, and they married in 1969. He stopped songwriting in the early 1970s.

Clifford T. Ward
Article Abstract:
Singer and songwriter Clifford Ward was born in Stourport-on-Severn, England, in 1944. His first album, 'Singer/Songwriter,' was released in 1972. He formed a beat group, Cliff Ward and the Cruisers, and this later became the Secrets.

Joe Lubin

Songwriter Joe Lubin was born in London, England, in 1917. He entertained people in air-raid shelters during the second world war, and had some success with his songs. He later moved to New York, NY, and set up Carmel Records.
