Breaking the rules of the gentleman's club
Article Abstract:
The forthcoming general election in the UK may bring significant changes to the traditionally male-dominated House of Commons. It is possible that more than 100 women may be elected to the House of Commons, giving them the vital critical mass which they have lacked until now. The House of Commons is set to lose its gentleman's club atmosphere, and a more businesslike approach is likely to be established, as many of the new women MPs have an extremely busy working and family life.

Welders face charges over airport blaze
Article Abstract:
The recent fire at Dusseldorf airport, in which 16 people died, is believed to have been started by welders who accidentally melted a bitumen sealant which dripped on to a false floor containing electrical wiring. It is possible that criminal charges may now be brought against the welders. An investigation will also be undertaken into why firefighters were not alerted until half an hour after the fire started.
