British explorer claims to have traced Ark of the Covenant
Article Abstract:
The Ark of the Covenant built by Moses 3,250 years ago as a container for the Ten Commandments has been traced to remote country in Ethiopia by a British explorer. Graham Hancock has spent five years on research and field work seeking the relic which disappeared nearly a thousand years before Christ. The Ethiopian Church has for many years claimed to be in possession of the Ark and the last Ethiopian emperor, Haile Selassie, arranged for a new chapel to be built to house it. A monk named Abba Fameray is its present guardian and seeing it is prohibited by the Ethiopian Church.

Veiled clues may solve the Elephant Man mystery
Article Abstract:
Conservators and scientists believe that extracting DNA from traces of saliva on the original hat and veil used by 19th century 'Elephant Man' Joseph Merrick may indicate the exact nature of the disfiguring disease he suffered from. It has traditionally been thought that he suffered from neurofibromatosis, but new research claims that the condition which caused his deformaties could have been Proteus Syndrome. This is not hereditary, but involves genetic changes.
