Campaigns urge gays to 'think pink' before voting
Article Abstract:
A group called Subversive Street Queers (SSQ) has organised a poster campaign because they do not want sexual politics removed from the agenda. The weekly national newspaper for lesbians and gay men, 'The Pink Paper,' is also campaigning for the 'pink vote' to be wielded tactically to vote for the party promising the best gay legal and social reform. The Conservative manifesto excludes lesbian and gay social and legal equality. Labour and the Social Democrats would reform the criminal law on homosexuality, introduce anti-discrimination legislation and repeal section 28. The issue of age of consent is not resolved.

Glowing with health?
Article Abstract:
Many people are tempted to use a sunbed during the winter months as the tan which they got during the summer begins to fade. However, regular use of a sunbed can lead to photoageing, with the skin being permanently damaged. Researchers now believe that even a mild tan is the skin's response to excessive doses of ultraviolet (UV) radiation, showing that skin damage has already taken place. There is also a risk of developing skin cancers.
