Fighting London's corner
Article Abstract:
An academic report by the Corporation of London published on Jul 7 1992 describes London's good and bad points as a centre of financial services. The City of London has more finance workers than the number of residents in Frankfurt, another financial centre. The only superior international bank lender is Japan. Technology centralises banking operations in one site. The Corporation brings consistency to the campaign for the central European bank to be sited in London.
