Cold? It's freezing
Article Abstract:
It is not possible to over-winter frost-sensitive plants such as geraniums in a cold greenhouse, but the greenhouse can still be used to protest plants from rain, wind and snow. Food crops such as tomatoes and cucumbers are likely to be successful, except possibly at the very beginning and end of the growing season, but much will depend on the amount of sun the greenhouse receives. It is probably best to raise vegetable plants indoors first moving them gradully into the greenhouse as temperatures rise in the spring.

The power and the glory
Article Abstract:
Chatsworth house and garden in Derbyshire, England, have undergone many transformations, but visitors can still glimpse traces of the original design. The gardens are particularly attractive in early autumn, when the woods are beginning to change colour and the vegetable gardens are producing a wide range of crops. The current vegetable gardens have been created on what was formerly sloping paddock ground. One of the key features of the gardens is the water cascade designed by French designer Grillet.
