Crowd control - the nice Belgian way
Article Abstract:
Supporters of the Belgian football club Brugge KV used to have a reputation for violence, and the club has had to pay large fines as a result of its fans' behaviour. It has now taken positive action to limit violence as far as possible. It has introduced a membership scheme for travelling fans, which will not accept any supporter who has been in trouble with the police. No fan who has been drinking is admitted to a match, and all fans are frisked before entering the ground.

More Sad Chad than Shock Jock
Article Abstract:
Talk Radio UK, which began broadcasting in mid-Feb 1995, has not attracted large audiences. Its lack of popularity is reflected particularly in its night-time broadcasts, which tends to be banal, even though callers are prepared to wait quite a long time to go on air. Presenter Chad Benson is already being replaced, and much of the station's coverage is being reconsidered.
