Dark portents of a slaughter foretold
Article Abstract:
The Christian Phalange militia, Israel's allies in the invasion of Lebanon, massacred hundreds of Palestinian civilians at Sabra and Chatila, Beirut, in 1982. Thousands protested in Tel Aviv about this war crime which went unrecognised as such by the West. The West is indifferent to the massacres in Yugoslavia. The state of Bosnia is internationally recognised and the siege of Sarajevo continues. The West supposedly respects international law and opposes aggression.
