Digging up diamonds in the British Museum
Article Abstract:
Robert Jeffcock, 53, searched through old books in the British Museum Library and found old abandoned diamond mines in South America. After identifying those that were abandoned for reasons other than absence of stones, he has bought up the leases and now mines there. His site is at Coromandel, Brazil and he has built a village there for 60 or so workers. The mine now processes daily 200 lorryloads of gravel and diamond production is running at about 300 carats a week. The mine had been abandoned in the 1870's after high mining levels in South Africa caused a huge fall in prices.

Where to find sin in the modern world
Article Abstract:
The Church of England's working party on the family recently published a report which highlighted the development of non-traditional family structures. It stated that the church must adopt to these changes, focusing on encouraging good quality relationships within any type of family. This was not the view of a minority report which was not included in the final report. The suppressed report stated that family life is in crisis, with intimate, faithful relationships falling apart across the western world.
