French get tough with ski hooligans
Article Abstract:
Some of the leading French ski resorts are beginning to take tougher action against visitors who behave inconsiderately. Some of the resorts have introduced by-laws under which anyone who causes an accident can be fined up to 100,000 francs and spend a year in jail. The slopes can become very crowded at the height of the season, but some skiers do not take this into account, skiing too fast and failing to show consideration for others.
