Happy daze for guru of Gonzo
Article Abstract:
Gonzo journalism, which is a form of reporting based on William Faulkner's idea that the best fiction is much more true than any kind of journalism, was born of total despair, according to Hunter S. Thompson. He regards writing as pure music, and most of his work is inspired by alcohol and drugs. He leads a very unusual lifestyle, and much of what he says appears to be unintelligible. However, there are moments of great lucidity. He seems to seek attention in his writing, but shrinks away from its effects.

The writer of wrongs
Article Abstract:
The driving force behind the decision of Dominick Dunne to turn to writing after his career as a television executive and studio executive came to an end was the murder of his daughter Dominique. The fact that the wealthy often get away with murder in the US is a key theme in his work.
