All his own work (with a little technical help)
Article Abstract:
A personal computer can be extremely beneficial in helping children to do their homework. With written assignments, for example, they can focus on content rather than on spelling correctly and writing legibly. However, there have been cases where teachers have taken a rather negative attitude towards homework done on a personal computer. They often suspect that an adult has helped with the work, which is generally of a much higher standard than that completed by hand in class.

Keep your faithful Amstrad alive with a little TLC
Article Abstract:
Amstrad produced 1.5 million PCWs, the first inexpensive word processor. Many of these are still in use, and it looks likely that it will be possible to continue to use them for some time to come. There is an expanding PCW back-up industry, and many problems are relatively easy to resolve. A replacement armature, which transmits power to the printer, can be obtained very cheaply, as can the spring which holds the paper in tension.
