'I lost my daughter, my friend.'
Article Abstract:
Eileen Dallaglio, whose 19-year-old daughter Francesca was killed in the Marchioness river boat disaster in Aug 1989, recalls feeling numb when she first heard that her daughter was missing. She suffered great shock, and this affected her physically. Indeed, she feels that the loss of her daughter almost killed her. She felt extremely frustrated that the authorities appeared to be indifferent towards the efforts of the victims' relatives to discover the truth about why the Marchioness sank.
