Article Abstract:
There was a serious lack of direction to United Kingdom Conservative party's campaigning in the run-up to the general election in May 1997, according to Michael Dobbs, the party's former deputy chairman. He had felt for some time that the Conservatives would lose the election, but believed that he should remain with the party until the bitter end. After the party lost the election, he was aware that his life would change very significantly. He had worked for the party for almost 25 years, and knew that he would face challenges in the future.

Prince of Wails looks forward to the quiet life
Article Abstract:
Singer David Coverdale is keen to become involved with music that is more intimate than the heavy rock with which he has been associated for so long. He has discovered that there is more to life than music, particularly as a result of the death of his mother from cancer. He has learned to take nothing for granted, and now values his close relatives much more highly than he used to. He is getting more pleasure from music now that it is not so important in his life.
