I'm a writer, not a fighter
Article Abstract:
Novelist Vikram Seth still finds it difficult to spend money extravagantly, even though he became very wealthy through 'A Suitable Boy,' his first novel. This is because he spent many years managing with very little money. He rejects any talk of a feud between him and novelist Salman Rushdie, and feels that there are no similarities between them at all. He has a range of interests, including learning French and swimming in the Serpentine in London, England.

'Three cheers for pornography.' (author Pierre Guyotat)(Interview)
Article Abstract:
Author Pierre Guyotat has attracted considerable controversy in France with his violent and pornographic books written in his own invented language. Some observers see his work as innovative, while others reject it as distasteful. His work is now to be made available in English, but may not have quite the same impact as in France, as it deals with issues which are closely linked with French culture.

'Society has decided I am a genius.' (novelist Aldo Busi)(Interview)
Article Abstract:
Italian novelist Aldo Busi has attracted considerable controversy as a result of his extremely self-confident manner. He is widely admired within Italy for his very original novels, high quality translations and his travel books, but remains almost unknown outside Italy. He hs become almost unpublishable in the US and Germany following conflicts with publishers, but is relatively popular in the UK.
