Irving and Sereny go to war
Article Abstract:
Right-wing historian David Irving has for many years clashed with Third Reich expert Gitta Sereny over the history of Nazi Germany. Their conflict has now erupted into a legal battle, with Irving to sue Sereny following her attacks on his latest work. Sereny claims that Irving is obsessed with his feelings for Hitler and his own feelings for the Jews, and that his sympathy for Hitler makes him dangerous. In contrast, Irving claims that Sereny has gone too far in attacking his belief that Hitler may have known little about the Holocaust.
