It may not be the elixir of eternal youth, but of all the hyped superdrugs of recent years, DHEA looks the best bet
Article Abstract:
Dehydropiandrosterone (DHEA), a steroid hormone produced naturally by the adrenal glands, is being hailed in the US as a wonder drug. Many Americans now take a synthetic form of DHEA, which has been shown in extensive clinical testing to have a wide range of positive effects. It appears to give protection from breast cancer to post-menopausal women, and is also claimed to be useful in treating depression, anxiety and fatigue. However, experts are also warning that it is still too soon to assess DHEA's long-term effects.

The price of eternal youth
Article Abstract:
Recent developments in cosmetic dermatology offer the potential to reverse the impact of ageing on the skin. Treatments covered by cosmetic dermatology include the use of alpha hydroxy acid creams or peel procedures, which dissolve the protein chains that bind skin cells together, and vitamin-A-derivative preparations, which increase the volume of cells in the epidermis. It is important to take professional advice before beginning to use such treatments.
