Italy's earthquake victims left in limbo
Article Abstract:
Residents of the village of Colfiorito, Italy, which was destroyed by the earthquake that struck central Italy in Sep 1997, are still living in temporary accommodation. No reconstruction work has yet begun, and these people feel that their plight has been overlooked by the authorities. They do not wish to be seen as victims, but believe that they should receive some assistance with rebuilding their lives. There are people living in similar circumstances in a number of other camps throughout the Appenine mountain region.

'Interactive TV is failing because it doesn't give users what they want.'(Network)
Article Abstract:
Interactive Television (iTV) has proved very slow to take off, mainly because of cost and poor research about consumer requirements. The handsets for iTV, for example, have as many as 79 buttons and are generally very badly designed. They are modelling on a TV remote control, rather than on games industry standards, and do not allow the user any real sense of involvement or entertainment. Many mistakes are still being made in interface design, which deters many potential users.
