'It's ludicrous that people stay away.' (impact of murder of tourists in Egypt)
Article Abstract:
The recent massacre of 18 Greek pilgrims in Cairo, Egypt, will inevitably make potential tourists more nervous about visiting the country, which has already had several incidents of this kind. This is causing great frustration among many Egyptians, who are keen to emphasise that the country is not nearly as dangerous as has been claimed in the foreign media. They point out that Islamic Fundamentalists are only a very small minority, and that it is very unlikely that tourists will become the target of an attack.
