Article Abstract:

Research shows that the 82% increase in skin cancer cases in Britain between 1982-1992 is probably because of short sunbathing episodes by people who do not normally expose themselves to the sun. Most British people choose to ignore advice to limit sunbathing and a tanned skin is still portrayed as desirable. Many sunscreening preparations only protect against UVB rays but UVA rays are also considered dangerous. Malignant melanoma cases in Britain have doubled every 10 years since the 1930's and 3,200 cases are predicted for 1992, 1,200 of them fatal.

At 21 years of age he took over from Christan Dior when he died in 1957. Saint Laurent was rescued from a mental asylum by Pierre Berge who founded the Yves Saint Laurent empire. Saint Laurent is a homosexual and a manic depressive. He used to be a drug addict and an alcoholic.

Lee Miller, the fashion model, was born in New York in 1907 and married Roland Penrose in 1938, living in England and entertaining many artists, journalists and politicians. She became a photographer and war correspondent for 'Vogue.' She was the only female photographer who accompanied soldiers to the front. After the war she became a mother, gardener, cook and expert on classical music.
