Let me tell you a story
Article Abstract:
Folk singer Kate Rusby feels that she was brought up to always consider other people's circumstances. She believes that she almost watches a story unfold when she is singing, and the opportunity to tell a story is what attracts her to ancient folk songs. She does not regard herself as a modern icon of folk music, as she does not feel that anybody who comes from Barnsley, England, can really be an icon.
