Article Abstract:
It is important to bring out the deep emotional truths in each role, according to opera singer Susan Bullock. She does not wish to be associated with the sort of opera singing where image and the beauty of the voice are more important than presenting the story as it actually happens to the characters. She takes care to immerse herself fully in each role, and tries very hard to understand how the characters feel.
