Article Abstract:
The IRA is coming under growing pressure from loyalists to declare a new ceasefire in Northern Ireland. Many observers believe that the political process aimed at securing peace will be severely disrupted if there are further incidents of this kind.

Article Abstract:
Irish republican and loyalist groups remain extremely suspicious of each other, despite positive progress towards a peace settlement at a political level. The UK government must now accept that it will be several years before the IRA will hand over any of its weapons.
