Malcolm Marshall
Article Abstract:
Cricketer Malcolm Marshall played in only one first-class match, in 1978, before being selected for the tour of India. In total, he took 376 wickets in 81 Tests. He was the West Indies' top wicket-taker until he was overtaken by Courtney Walsh in Nov 1998. David Bairstow
Article Abstract:
Cricketer David Bairstow first played for Yorkshire at the age of 17. He became the only Yorkshire wicket-keeper to have passed 1,600 runs three times, and is one of only six wicket-keepers in history to have taken 11 or more catches in a match. The introduction of covered pitches meant that he was rarely able to show how talented he was at catching high quality spinners on a turning surface. On retiring from cricket, he became involved in commentating and in a number of business ventures.
