Deciding to build its own architecturally designed office block gave architect firm Weston Williamson a rare insight into the role of client. The need for a new building arose after it was decided rents were becoming too high and its own accommodation would be more cost-effective. A suitable site location was chosen and plans drawn up for a building which could expand with the firm.

New treatments for AIDS means that for those who have access, being HIV means sickness rather than sure death. Looking beyond AIDS, homosexual activity looms although many more heterosexuals perished. But the real question is whether the plague's end will be a catharsis or were no lessons learned.
