Clinton: 'We must make it clear that reckless actions have consequences.' (US president Bill Clinton takes firm stance against Iraqi president Saddam Hussein)
Article Abstract:
The Iraqi attack on Arbil cannot be ignored, according to president Bill Clinton, and Iraqi president Saddam Hussein must be shown that actions of this kind will be punished. The US has responded by launching a missile attack on targets in southern Iraq and by extending the no-fly zone to the very edges of Baghdad itself. Clinton believes that the US action should be interpreted as a defence of world security interests, and has stated that the US will take further action if necessary.

Now he can make the running
Article Abstract:
Bill Clinton may lead the Democrats back into government at the 1992 US presidential elections after losing five of the last six elections. He has explained changes in the country to the party and is the sole candidate to have drawn up details of his programme if elected. He allies himself with the middle classes and supports the death penalty. The electorate is unsure about his trustworthiness and character. President Bush's recent actions are approved by only 30% of the electorate.
