My grandmother's awfully big adventure
Article Abstract:
Parts of the US are still very hostile to interracial marriage, according to Aimee Liu, whose American grandmother married a Chinese man and lived in China for nearly 30 years, raising four children there in very difficult circumstances. She feels that she was very jealous of her grandparents for having led such an adventurous life. She wanted to really understand what happened to them, and this prompted her to write the book 'Cloud Mountain.'

I was dumped for Bridget Jones
Article Abstract:
Dating agencies offer a valuable service, according to newspaper columnist Isabel Wolff, who used her experiences of meeting men through a dating agency as the basis for her column about Tiffany Trott, a single woman seeking a partner. She did not merely exploit the men she met, as she was genuinely seeking a partner too. However, she always hoped that they would behave in a way which could be amusingly reported in her column.
