Nancy Guild
Article Abstract:
Nancy Guild was an actress who was born in 1925, and studied at the University of Arizona before becoming an actress. She starred in the thriller 'Somewhere in the Night', a movie which Joseph L. Mankiewicz had co-written and directed. She then appeared in 'The Brasher Doubloon', an adaptation of 'The High Window' by Raymond Chandler. The movie was not well received, partly becasue two other Chandler adaptations were released around the same time, but Guild played her part well. She retired after 1953, but made a comeback with a cameo in 'Such Good Friends' in 1971.
