No need for nursery nostalgia
Article Abstract:
Some observers believe that the development of large garden centres selling a wide range of items other than plants has had a negative impact on traditional small plant nurseries. In fact, many of these nurseries have formed the basis for today's large garden centres. Furthermore, the development of garden centres has prompted the establishment of a very large number of small retail nurseries specializing in specific plants. There are a small number of national or regional garden centre chains, but most are still independent.
