Norman Tebble
Article Abstract:
Biogeographer and marine biologist Norman Tebble was a leading academic, with his career including an appointment as Director of the Royal Scottish Museum in Edinburgh, Scotland. Tebble enjoyed the public responsibility of this role and established an innovative Education Department at the site. He published works on marine worms, with these polychaetes being a life-long interest. Tebble was the first to discover that the distribution of pelagic species was restricted by the ocean's hydrological boundaries.
