Peter McLachlan

Politician and charity administrator Peter McLachlan studied in Oxford, England, at Magdalen College School and Queen's College. He became a trainee in the Northern Ireland Civil Service, but in 1962 was appointed Administrator to the National Youth Orchestra. He moved to the Northern Ireland desk of the Conservative Party Research Dept in 1970, and in 1976 became involved with the peace movement in Northern Ireland. He was founding Chmn of the Northern Ireland Federation of Housing Associations.

Alan Clark
Article Abstract:
Politician and historian Alan Clark was educated at Eton. He served briefly in the Household Brigade, and was a member of the RAF's auxiliary branch from 1952 to 1954. He was called to the Bar at Inner Temple in 1955, and in 1974 became Conservative MP for Sutton, Plymouth, England, a post he retained until 1992. He gained a reputation as a military historian, and was also a junior minister in successive Conservative governments between 1983 and 1992.

Victor Paz Estenssoro
Article Abstract:
Politician Victor Paz Estenssoro was born in Tarija, Bolivia, in 1907. He fought in the Chaco war with Paraguay in the 1930s, and was President four times.
