Professor Richard Pear
Article Abstract:
Political scientist Richard Pear studied Politics at the London School of Economics, graduating in 1938. He took up a Darwin research fellowship of the Eugenics Society, and between 1939 and 1941 studied at the University of Chicago. He spent most of his military service during the second world war in Kenya, and in 1947 returned to the London School of Economics as Assistant Lecturer in Government. He was the first professor of politics at Nottingham University, England, when he was appointed in 1965.

Professor Stephen Holt

Political scientist and university administrator Stephen Holt was born in Bolton, England, in 1935. He studied at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, England, after National Service and worked in the family hosiery business before gaining an MA in the Dept of Government at Manchester University, England.

Professor Michael Rogin

Political scientist Michael Rogin was born in Mount Kisko, NY, in 1937. He studied at Harvard University, the University of Chicago and the University of California, Berkeley. He later became Robson Professor of Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley.
