Public Enemy No 1 - a title he always wanted
Article Abstract:
Saudi dissident Osama bin Laden will perceive US President Bill Clinton's naming of him as Public Enemy Number One as an accolade. Bin Laden is campaigning for the US to withdraw from Saudi Arabia, but he denied responsibility for the bombing of US embassies in Tanzania and Kenya. He urged support from Pakistan for all Muslims to pursue a holy war against the US just prior to the US missile attack on sites in Afghanistan. Bin Laden was considered a hero for his involvement in the guerrilla war against the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan and he claims to be unafraid of death.
