Refugees of Blitz tie their labels again
Article Abstract:
There were over a million children evacuated to rural areas in Sep 1939, and this anniversary is being remembered by survivors who took part in it. The evacuees suffered disruption to their lives. They were represented as having come from slum homes, though many were evacuated to homes that lacked the amenities of those that they had come from. They looked untidy after a long railroad journey unaccompanied, and this contributed to the myth that they were slum dwellers. Some evacuees also discovered that their homes in Londoin had been bombed in their absence.

Sign here before it gets serious
Article Abstract:
US employers are increasingly looking at ways to avoid problems that may arise from relationships in the workplace. A number of companies in California have gone as far as to draw up a contract that employees must sign when they enter into a relationship, stating that they have done so voluntarily. In this way, later claims of unfair dismissal or sexual harassment can be avoided. Some lawyers believe that it is advisable to avoid workplace relationships altogether.

Pilot who helped Nadir faces jail
Article Abstract:
Peter Dimond, who arranged a flight out of the UK in 1993 for fugitive businessman Asil Nadir, has been remanded on bail for pre-sentence reports after having been found guilty of involvement in acts tending to pervert the course of justice. Dimond believed that Nadir had been unfairly treated by the British authorities, and was persuaded by Nadir that he needed to go to Northern Cyprus to collect files in order to prepare his defence.
