Roger Ellis
Article Abstract:
Archivist Roger Ellis gained a degree as a classical scholar at King's College, Cambridge, England, in 1934. He took employment with the Public Record Office, where he was influenced by Hilary Jenkinson, Deputy Keeper of Public Records. He became very interested in archive conservation. He served in the Army during the Second World War, and in 1944 began work in the Monuments and Fine Arts branch. He later returned to civilian duties at the Public Record Office, and subsequently became Secretary of the Royal Commission on Historical Manuscripts.

William O'Sullivan
Article Abstract:
Archivist William O'Sullivan was born in Bantry, Ireland, in 1921. He gained a History degree from Trinity College Dublin, and from the early 1950s until 1982 was responsible for the manuscripts at the same university.

Singer, writer and antiques dealer Lisa Lee was born in Bala, Wales, in 1907. Her varied career included writing scripts for the children's television series 'Muffin the Mule.'
