GERMANY: INNOVATIVE SKIN CREAM DEVELOPED

Article Abstract:

scientists have created a skin cream which is able to repair the genetic flaws caused by exposure to ultraviolet-B (UV-B) radiation. The cream would offer major benefits for sunbathing enthusiasts who are fair-skinned since it deals with the DNA damage and immune suppression which can cause skin cancer. The Dusseldorf-based Heinrich Heine University which developed the cream revealed that it could be offered commercially inside two years. The German university's professor of dermatology, Jean Krutmann, believes that the development should have no side effects and be able to repair specific UV-b-related damage.

Most young adults in the UK today have very little knowledge of the Cold War. For them, the Cold War holds no relevance or interest, especially as they are not even particularly attracted to more recent political developments. It is now time to move away from the traditional Cold War rhetoric if this period in history is to become more relevant to young people. It is important to acknowledge that both West and East used redistributive policies to achieve greater social equality and that lack of liberty played only an insignificant role in the collapse of Communism.
