Serving out injustice to the low-paid
Article Abstract:
The UK's welfare system discriminates against low-paid term-time workers, preventing them from claiming any benefits at the times of year when they are not working. Term-time workers are also not eligible for the other initiatives introduced by the government to eliminate poverty, such as the working families tax credit.
