Sharper eyes as silence closes in
Article Abstract:
Painter David Hockney lives in LA. He is homosexual and has had 25 friends die from Aids. He does not go out much any more because he is going deaf, an untreatable hereditary problem. He was concentrating on photography and opera set designs until 1992. He prefers the theatre world to the art world. He no longer does portraits or undertakes commissions. He still feels English and keeps in touch with Bradford, Yorkshire, England. He intends to leave his photographs to the National Museum of Photography, Bradford.

The very nasty Michael Palin
Article Abstract:
Michael Palin still lives in Gospel Oak, north London, England, despite his wealth. He feels treated normally there as he has lived there since before his fame. He owns 3/4 of the street. His three children attended local state schools, although he went to Shrewsbury. He attended Brasenose College, Oxford but never specialised in any employable skill. He tries not to lose his temper as people give of their best if he does not. He enjoys travelling.
