Sir Donald Murray

Diplomat Donald Murray served as a commando in the Royal Marines between 1943 and 1946, and then studied international relations at Oxford University, England. His first diplomatic post was as Third Secretary in Warsaw, Poland. He gained detailed knowledge of both eastern and western Europe, as well as the Baltic and the Mediterranean. He was appointed First Secretary, Political Office, Middle East Forces, in 1956, and was ambassador to Libya between 1974 and 1976.

Elisabeth Murray

Educationist, historian, archaeologist and conservationist Elisabeth Murray studied History at Somerville College, Oxford, England, graduating in 1931. She gained a studentship at the British School of Archaeology in Jerusalem, Israel, in 1933, and in 1937 returned to Somerville as a research fellow. She served at Girton College, Cambridge, England, between 1938 and 1848, and then became Principal of Bishop Otter College in Chichester, England.

Dr Murray Cox
Article Abstract:
Psychotherapist Murray Cox trained as a doctor at the London Hospital, and then worked for 10 years in general practice. He became a psychiatrist and psychotherapist, and developed a particular interest in forensic psychotherapy. He was very influential as as consultant psychotherapist at Broadmoor high security hospital from 1970 until his death, making significant contributions both to patient treatment and to staff training and support.
