Sir Ronald Millar
Article Abstract:
Playwright, screenwriter and speechwriter Ronald Millar joined the Navy in 1940 after having studied at King's College, Cambridge, England, for a year. He established himself as a playwright after the second world war, and between 1948 and 1954 lived in Hollywood, where he wrote scripts for MGM. On his return to the UK, he successfully adapted several C.P. Snow novels, and in 1967 he wrote William Clark's novel 'Number 10' for the stage. He began to establish himself as a speechwriter when he was in his 50s.

Professor James Bulpitt

Political scientist James Bulpitt studied at the universities of Exeter, England, and Manchester, England. He was a research fellow at the University of Milan, Italy, and then spent three years at the University of Strathclyde, Scotland. He then spent the rest of his career at Warwick University, England, where he became Professor of Politics in 1992. He gained particular respect for his courses on British government.

Sir Gordon Reece
Article Abstract:
Television producer and public-affairs consultant Gordon Reece was born in Liverpool, England, in 1929. He studied Law at Downing College, Cambridge, England, and worked in journalism before moving into television production and joining ITN in 1960.
