Sisterly love - can a Picadilly prayer reach Chechnya?
Article Abstract:
It can be extremely frightening when a member of your family is kidnapped, according to Alexandra Little, whose sister Camillar Carr was kidnapped with her partner Jon James in Chechnya in Jul 1997. She has become the key figure in the campaign to have the couple released, assisted by her husband, David Little, who is creative director of advertising agency Davies, Little Cowley. The two families remained silent about the kidnapping for five months on the advice of the Foreign Office, but have now decided that it is time to press for action to be taken.

Daddy's coming home
Article Abstract:
The Good Friday agreement in Northern Ireland will lead to large numbers of political prisoners being released from the Maze and other prisons. Many of these prisoners have spent many years away from their families, and have often almost completely missed out on their children's childhood. Their families have often experienced considerable suffering, coping with many years of poverty and estrangement. Their children may never become really close to them, as they have never become accustomed to having a father at home.
