Mujahedin soldiers advancing on the cave complex at Tora Bora, Afghanistan, in which al-Qa'ida guerrillas are hiding report seeing children playing nearby. Some caves have been captured, but there is still much progress to be made.

Opium farmers rejoice at defeat of the Taliban
Article Abstract:
The defeat of Afghanistan's Taliban regime is likely to lead to a revival in the cultivation of opium poppies. The farmers who grow the poppies are extremely poor and feel that they have no other option.
