Stake in the future for Cape wine workers
Article Abstract:
There are indications that the contribution of black and Coloured workers to the success of the wine industry in the Cape region of South Africa is beginning to be recognized. Alan Nelson, of Nelson's Creek, and Charles Back, of Fairview, have both sold or gifted land to labourers, and black and Coloured workers are now set to produce the first wine from grapes grown on their own land. Back believes that assisting workers in obtaining land, constructing accommodation and growing grapes helps to remove the paternalistic system created by apartheid.

Silent scream of Rwanda's youth
Article Abstract:
Children who were allegedly involved in the genocide of Rwandan Tutsis and moderate Hutus in 1994 have been held at Gitagata re-education centre, south of Kigali, Rwanda. In order to be able to leave, they must confess their crimes and appear to acknowledge the serious nature of the crimes. The re-education centre, opened in 1997 after international protests about children being held in adult jails, offers some degree of freedom. Almost all Rwandan children suffered terrible experiences during the genocide, and many witnessed murders.

Killers have slunk away into shadows of Serbia
Article Abstract:
It may prove very difficult to bring to justice those responsible for war crimes against ethnic Albanians in Kosovo, Yugoslavia. Many war criminals have escape into Serbia, and will therefore be out of reach of the war crimes tribunal, at least until President Slobodan Milosevic is overturned. Some criminals made considerable efforts to conceal evidence of their activities, and many of their victims have been killed, thus making it hard to obtain evidence.
