Still hip to be Squire
Article Abstract:
Taking up a new challenge quickly was important after leaving the Stone Roses, according to guitarist John Squire. He linked with singer and songwriter Chris Helme, bassist Stuart Fletcher and drummer Andy Watt to form a new band, The Seahorses. He rejects accusations that he formed this band when still on the rebound from the Stone Roses. The other members of The Seahorses do not seem to be intimated by Squire's past, and are all focused and resilient.

He has released more than 60 albums, and more recently has worked with musicians including Daniel Lanois and Harold Budd.

Earth calling Orb, come in
Article Abstract:
Pop group The Orb has been extremely influential, having even had a No 1 album. However, the group remains mysterious, hardly ever giving interviews and never singing or dancing. It is known only for its long instrumental passages characterised by a throbbing beat. It has found that it can attract large audiences just with instrumental music, and is currently touring the US, Japan and Europe.
